CryoRad mission (Cryospheric Radiometer) is the novel candidate explorer of the ESA EE12 call.

It’s goal is “understanding polar processes in a warming climate  from the ice sheet interior to the open ocean”

It would join the family of satellites meant for the polar environments (ESA Cryosat-2, CRISTAL, CIMR, ROSE-L and NASA ICESat-2) and aimed at shading a new light on geophysical processes not fully covered to date or the future.
